its the night before, the night before christmas!

Twas the night before christmas and all through the house a bradley was screaming and destroying the house. We forgot to hang the stockings by the chimney thats not there. In hopes that Christmas soon will be there.

Bradley was nestled all snug in his crib, while visions of sugar cookies danced in his head. And mamma in her flannel, and I in my boxers, Had just settled our brains for a short winters nap.


Hey, i gave it a good shot. I just couldnt continue doing the poem any longer. Hopefully Bradley hangs on tight for this christmas. He has two crazy ones coming up! I really believe the second christmas that we have on sat. the 27th just might be about all he can handle! Including Bradley there will be 4 little ones under age of 4. and 10 adults that I can think of. All 14 of us huddled under the christmas tree that morning while the kids destroy the tree and their toys. Oh boy! At least we are getting there early enough for mimosas and Cinnamon rolls!

super climber

Yes hes getting better at climbing now to the point where mommy is scared. He tryed climbing the kitchen drawers yesterday, and he thinks the way to get off the couch is just to walk off it and he loves to run with objects in his mouth. I keep showing him how to get down safely, feet first. I am afraid he won't really understand why I keep making him get down that way until he gets hurt. Hopefully we will be able to prevent a fall until he fully understanding.

Magic Mondays!

Looks like Brandon and I are in for a whole new journey. I left the room for a minute today to use the bathroom, came back and he was sitting on the couch. OH boy. This is the second time now hes climbed the couch. The other time he put pillows at the bottom and climbed up but I don't know how he did it this time. I was relieved to just pee alone, but then I come out and find out why! He was quickly at work while I was gone.

Cranberry Juice, why?

Its been awhile, I don't feel like I have all that much to say lately. I do know that its only 9:00am and the boy is already covered in cranberry juice. THAT was a poor choice on my part. I thought it would help him poo... but it turns out the only ingredient is sugar.


Bradley is doing great. Running around the house like a madman as usual. It is nice how he is communicating more and more with us. He will point at what he wants, and throw a tantrum if he can't have it. oh well! I am still astonished with how he acts like its the end of the world during the WHOLE 60 SECONDS the milk is in the microwave. He screams like I have locked him in a room and walked away. Its a MINUTE. He can wait and watch for an hour while I cook dinner, what a weirdo. He also tells me NO all day and shakes his head at me. I won't even be doing anything either. Its pretty funny.

He did learn something new yesterday actually, well maybe he knew it all along, we will never know. He was sitting on my lap and I was reading him a book. As soon as I finished the book he did his usual, stand up and take off hunting for another book. I was getting a little annoyed with always tripping over those darn books (they hurt!) So I just "Whoa, whoa, whoa... where do you think your going? You take this book and you put it back in the bucket before bringing me a new one." He ACTUALLY turned around, grabbed it from me and put it away. I was floored!!! I handed him about 6 more books one by one and he put them away. The craziness!! I was so happy I didn't want him to take any more books out!!

I love that hes understanding me. Hes finally able to gentaly put his sippy back down on the high chair. It was not fun how every single time hes done taking his two sips he has to hurl it across the kitchen like a grenade full of milk. I swear it was going to go out a window one of these days. Boy would I be embarrassed telling my landlord, sorry but the baby did it.

Well, I suppose I have run out of crap to ramble about. I GUESS I can start cleaning now. Oh boy!

Almost December?

How in the world is Thanksgiving this week. I just can not figure out how it came so quickly. I feel like it was yesterday that I was just stressing out over his birthday. The past three weeks have just flown by. I'm just not ready for this week I guess. We have two Thanksgivings on Thursday. A rehearsal dinner Friday and Wedding Saturday. I still need to go buy a sweater to wear over my dress. I will freeze in a sleeveless dress. Plus on top of this I was hoping to go shopping Black Friday morning so I could save a few bucks for Christmas presents.

I have only been shopping black friday twice now and both times I was amazed at how rude women get in the morning. I think I will always remember two years ago when Brandon NEEDED the Wii. It was the first wave of shipments and Gamestop in the mall was only getting TWO in for Black Friday. We slept on the living room floor with our alarm clock set, while Brandons brother slept in our bed. We got to the Mall at 4am and the mall was still closed. I guess they don't open the doors till 5am but he wanted to make sure he was the first one to get a Wii. So of course out of sleep deprivation and just wanting to get this over with I showed him to one of the back doors for employees and walked the hallways until I knew I was near Gamestop. Having worked at the mall for a few years really helped me know what I was doing!

We walk up and theres a guy inside behind the chained doors, Brandon asks if there is a waiting list for today and he gives us a ticket number, it said #2. We actually got it! An hour before the store even opened at that! I sure did feel bad for all the guys that came popping out of doorways and running through the hallways trying to get a Wii! All of them turned away sadly.

We had it home and set up, playing some games by 5am!

I know I won't be dealing with any more crazy outings like that trying to get the "new" stuff first until Bradley gets a bit older

Alright, I am not sure if I have ever spoken of Bradleys love to dance. Its just plain hilarious to watch. He has many styles of dancing as well.

I guess yesterday was a "floppy" day, as you will see in the video. I was just dying to get it on video because he doesn't do this crap in public or at someone elses house. I decided to pump him up and put on the "dance" channel. (you know one of those extra channels in a cable package that you NEVER watch)

Don't mind the unique styling of my house in it. We call it, Destroyed by Baby.

to the doctors, he said

Oh how I am so sick of the doctors. I actually had an appointment for myself (can you believe it) yesterday yet had to squeeze in an appointment for Bradley while I was still on that side of the Bridge.

Sunday and Monday a rash started forming around his eyes but it didn't look that bad. Yesterday morning I woke up to him having a full rash covering his whole head, neck, belly, back and diaper area. He was scratching like a maniac and not happy so of course it was time to call the doctor. They didn't call me back until I was sitting in the middle of my appointment. Thankfully my doctor walked out to make appointments for me at the hospital so I was able to answer.

His Ped thinks its either an allergic reaction to something, a viral infection or his eczema flaring up a new way. She thinks its too soon to tell, so shes calling me on thursday. He looks about the same today, but his crankiness and scratching has been minimal since we started giving him a higher dose Benadryl. He actually slept last night too!! Ever since this started up he refused to sleep. The only way we could get him to sleep would be to pass out from exhaustion on the floor around 1:00am and move him to bed, then wake up crying half hour later. That crying every half hour to hour would continue the entire night. It was hard, him going to bed so late, waking up constantly, then getting out of bed at 7:30am.

I guess the only thing I have to do now is wait till tomorrow to see what happens then.

Oh, and Saturday should be fun! I get to go to work, leave at 4:00, then go get a MRI and some blood work done. Oh I just can't wait! Ugh.

It's my party and I cried all I wanted!

I suppose getting a bunch of shots the evening before my party was not the best of choice. Plus I was teething and still am! I also was so excited I only took a 20 minute nap before the party! How wrong was I on that choice? I may have been super cranky, but I had fun!

I also hired a Professional present opener. She said she's done this before, I trusted her up until she started stealing my presents !

We then proceeded to have cake. It was not so good at first, but the more I ate the better it was!

Don't worry. I made sure to decorate my hair as well!

Once everyone left I demanded my overalls be taken off so I can enjoy a little time in front of the tube in my new chair

Then it was time for bed. Finally. What a long day!

My Son wants to be a Dog

I don't know if this is normal or not but I'm only assuming it is.

Lately Bradley wants to be just like Tabitha, my dog. He chases her all day. He feeds her all day. He "pets" (which is slapping and grabbing) her when he can. Now to top it off, he pretends to eat like her.

He will grab a piece of food, drop it on the ground, then bend over get on all fours and pick it up with his mouth and giggle while it dangles from his mouth. Hes been doing it for a few days now and this is the only way he ate a few snacks this morning.... its so odd to watch. I wonder if he will do that at his party on Sat. That will be amusing for the family.

I am a little interested in how things will go with the babies on Sat. Evie plays nice, they are never a problem. Nate is a year older than Bradley so I'm assuming there won't be too much issues, we have a lot of toys. Elizabeth will also be there, shes only a week older, but Bradley seems to not like her for some reason. I don't know why, I'm not sure at this age what they could possibly come up with as a reason to not like a baby.

Oh well, we will see how it goes. Hopefully everyone will be able to fit in our little apartment! Good luck people :) haha

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Bradley Jaye Bourne!

He will be One at 10:18am. OK I'll be the first to admit I cried all last night even though I did not expect it at all. Somehow the realization that I will never get to say "last year at this time you were in my tummy" hit hard. It all started when 9:30pm rolled around and that was when my water broke and it all started. After that time passed I was a MESS thinking about last year. But that's what being a parent is about. If I could care less about him turning 1 then I guess there would be something wrong with me.

Hes still my little baby even though he hasn't been for a long time. He spends most of the day playing by himself, running around the house and destroying anything in his path. Once he became a full blown walker I realized that my house just could not get any messier.

Alright enough of this emotional crap and on to celebrating!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!!

1....what?

I can't believe it. I really just can't believe it. How is he going to be one year old tomorrow?! ONE.

I actually got emotional when the clocks were set back! Geez. The last time the clocks were set back I was in the middle of labor and I was so pissed that a nurse came in and rolled the time back at 2am. I don't know why but I flipped out. I was acting like she was making me go through that whole hour of pain all over again. Labor just makes you a bit crazy I suppose. :) Its worth it once its all over with!

I have a ton of memories from the past year but the only ones I keep thinking about are the day I had him. How I called my mom from the hospital that Saturday night telling her my water broke and i was FREAKING OUT. Her calling my room the following morning wanting to find out the news. He still wasnt born so I was yelling at Brandon to not answer the phone and focus on me because I was in the middle of my 2 hours of pushing.

Shortly after it stopped ringing, his cell phone started ringing and of course he answered it only to have me start screaming at him to get off the damn phone! lol I knew it was just my mom and she was curious but it was not the time.

14 hours of labor sure felt like it was going to be the death of me but as soon as he was born, its funny how quickly you forget what the pain was. You just remember what was happening, what was said, how the Doctor almost dropped your child. I still can't get over how when I finally pushed him out the doctor caught Bradley by ONE LEG. He almost hit the ground! I would have killed the doctor if he dropped him. I swear.

But all is good now and I'm just getting sad that my little baby is gone for good. At least we have so many fun things to look forward too.

So finding a costume the night before halloween went exactly as planned. NO COSTUMES. lol. For those of you who let your babes watch tv, Bradley is going to be Linny from the Wonder Pets. Basically hes a gerbil with a cape.

Its Curious George!

Its currently Curious George time so Bradley is glued to the tv. Its a nice quiet half hour usually. I have taken some time to upload videos from yesterday.

Not much is new lately. I just found out last night that we have plans for Halloween. I was planning on staying home and doing nothing. Going out shopping for a costume the day after, buy one for 70% off and take a bunch of pictures lol. I figured why pay full price if i'm not actually going to do anything. Well those plans are ruined. hah. I guess we are going out to the Mystic Aquarium and The Olde Mystic Village. I can not remember how many people are going but there will be at least two other babies. His best friend Evie(1) and cousin Nate(2). I guess it should be fun. I will take photos, hopefully we will be able to find a costume in time.

Well the weekends over and here I am trying to make yet another appointment for Bradley! He keeps going back and forth between sick. I'm really tired of the screaming. His chest has a ton of fluid and he keeps pulling at his ears... the phone line keeps being busy. grrrr.

Bradleys birthday is in TWO WEEKS. I can NOT believe that. He wanted to be a show off for his birthday obviously. He is a full time walker now, only crawls when hes upset. He really can wander the house for 5 minutes straight before tripping or falling now. Its crazy! Hes so quick now too. Hes just so active now and the things he gets into is amazing lol. He currently is ripping out all of his diapers from the baggy they come in. He then will start "organizing" them. I think I need to get a video of him doing that. Its pretty funny.

Time to call the doctor again and deal with poop.

Friday again!

Looks like Bradley and I are finally not sick anymore. He is just coughing a little bit now. Thankfully he did not get as sick as I. I of course was throwing up and had a fever. Oh Joy! It was tough taking care of him while I was sick though.

The leaves are finally falling. I am not sure how long they have been changed, I had not left the house all week. Maybe I just didn't notice them last week.

Bradleys walking is amazing. Its all he wants to do. His recent favorite thing is to jump on the couch. I'm not sure where it came from actually. He also had a very tough week with bonking his head. He manged to pull a kitchen chair down ontop of him TWICE in the same day. Those babys need to be cemented down. The picture actually looks better than his big ol bump did!

I wish I had a weekend.

Well hes slowly getting better. He still can't breathe through his nose, which makes it tough to eat or use his Binky. We have him sleeping at night again, but I can't figure out how to get him TO sleep in the first place. He was up until midnight partying again. Both Brandon and I kept dozing off while trying to keep an eye on him. He only had one nap yesterday so I thought he would go to sleep early actually.... oh well.

I don't know what happened this morning but I woke up to a loud crash. The coffee somehow fell off the fridge and broke open on the floor. There was coffee everywhere. The kitchen smelt pretty good, but I get no coffee. :( How sad for tired mommy!

I wish this was a "Friday" for us. I miss having the weekend off with Brandon and Bradley to have fun. I'm sick of working all day Sat and Sun then working in the evenings when hes home on weekdays. I'm so tired of being alone. Hopefully things will smooth out soon enough.

Brandon's hoping to win, $100,000 from McDonald's. lol yea we'll see how that goes. I think he just wants to eat McDonald's.

Wednesday already?

Well last night was another sleepless night. I was right, hes very sick today. Sadly I'm feeling it too. I don't know where he picked it up.

This morning Dr. Wolf, his Dermatologist called because he got the test results back from his culture. He believes that the staph originates in the nose, so he tested it and he was right. Bradley's nose tested positive.

We also had a checkup on his lymph node, its still about the same size. The doctor was more concerned about him being sick though, his eyes are all swollen, he can't breath, hes coughing, hooray! He also has fluid in his left ear, were hoping it won't turn into an ear infection. I wouldn't be surprised if it did. He is the infection king.

Nothing else new here. I could use a nap.

Hello......

Hello everyone. I feel I should have done this a long time ago. Life has been hectic and I suppose this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated! This also is a good way for me to blow off some steam or brag about something Bradley is up to.

Up until now life seems to be a constant flow of appointments. Maybe one of these days I will attempt on backtracking.

Tomorrow we have yet again another follow up appointment to check up on his Lymph Node which has been inflamed for at least 5 weeks now. He is also teething and VERY unhappy. None of us have slept in at least 5 days now. All three of us are exhausted. I am beginning to wonder if he is sick. We now are at the point where he refuses to sleep and would rather scream 24 hours a day. We are currently on nap #3 for today, all of which have been 30 minutes or less. Trust me, that's not enough time for me to regain my sanity or him to get enough rest. He usually gets 1 or 2 naps during the day, usually ranging 1-2 hours each.

I have decided to stay home from work tonight. Hopefully having both Brandon and I home will create a happy baby.

On a lighter note, I can not believe how much Bradley is walking. He can almost make it across our entire living room in one shot! For those of you who know how small my living room is... I still think its pretty impressive! He even knows how to slow down and change directions while walking. Pretty soon not only the floor will be destroyed, but the entire house. Hes only been walking for a little over a week now so my guess is at the 2 week mark he will be running!

I have decided to include a picture of Bradley from last week, when he was still happy. Bradley, I can't wait to see that happy face again. Please go easy on mommy.
